The University of Belgrade is the largest and most prominent academic institution in the country. This year marks the 100th anniversary under the name of the University of Belgrade, which today has 70,000 students and 7,500 working staff members, and which incorporates 31 faculties and 5 scientific institutes. At the same time this year marks the 167th anniversary of the foundation of the predecessor of the University - Lyceum.

The University's enormous contribution to the development of the society will increase after the integration into the European zone of higher education, which is the ultimate output of the current educational reform.
