RESTAURANTS

Both the student and commercial restaurants are a very important part of the operations of the Belgrade Student Centre. Tens of thousands of students visit these facilities to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Only scholarship students, financed from the Republic budget of Serbia have the right to take advantage of subsidized, low-cost meals, however, this benefit can be extended to cover other groups of students at the discretion of the Ministry of Education. Students whose homes are in Belgrade have the right to only one subsidized meal per day. In order to use the facility, the qualifying students must use a student “chip” identity card in order to purchase food coupons and a metal token for cutlery and dishes. The coupons are normally purchased in lots of 10 or 20 and coupons for the following month may be purchased from the 27th of the month.
