The institution of student hostels and rehabilitation centers
has been established since 1948 and is within the Department
for student and pupil standards of the Ministry of Education
and Sport.
The Institution has facilities in 3 locations: Avala, Zlatibor
and Palic, out of which only ”Ratko Mitrovic”
hostel is working presently, having capacity of 268 beds.
Only those students who upon the application procedure receive
a referral for a certain shift have the right to be at the
hostel. Shifts are organized around 15 times a year (winter
and summer period) on full board basis for 10 days.
The applications are invited by the Ministry of Education
and Sport, and the very programmes are conducted by Student
Union Support Center.
All the students whose studies are funded from the budget
of the Republic, who have not resumed more than one year of
studies, i.e. 2 years (in case of students of the forth or
fifth year of studies and degree candidates), as well as postgraduate
students who are unemployed have the right to apply for the
programme. When applying students need to submit the certificate
of the enrolment in relevant year of studies as well as certificate
of the passed exams in the previous year of studies.
Facilities on Zlatibor mountain are at a very high level,
providing its customers with a number of possibilities for
rest and recreation at top-quality sports fields or in a gym.

Belgrade University Sport Association (BUSA) is a sports
organization of Belgrade students. It was established in 1953
when the Association of sports organizations of Belgrade University
students was formed. Nowadays the BUSA incorporates all sports
organizations, associations and clubs of the faculties of
the University of Belgrade, including private faculties, student
dormitories, colleges and academies, and as such has 54 members.
Competitions are organized in 15 sports disciplines (football,
basketball, volleyball, handball, chess, athletics, swimming…)
both for male and female teams. The Association with its best
individual members and teams participates in inter-university
sports competitions throughout the country and abroad.
