The beginning of 2005 marked the start up of the Centre
for International Student Cooperation at The University of
Belgrade (CISC). Its founders were student organizations that
have been successfully dealing with international student
exchange and student cooperation for many years. Thus, the
Centre comprises the whole student population at University.
These organizations have largely improved their work due
to the tremendous support of the Centre.
CISC Members founders are: YuMSIC, NAPSer, BEST,
EESTEC, IAAS i AEGEE.

MEDICAL STUDENTS' INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE - YuMSIC

YuMSIC is the association of students of the faculties of
medicine in Serbia and Montenegro. Its activities are focused
on the improvement of public health, education, study conditions
and international work experience. YuMSIC is a full member
of IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students' Associations)
since 1952, and has been among the most active and influential
members in the last ten years.
IFMSA is independent, non-profit student association, acknowledged
by WHO as a forum of students of medicine, whose activities
are, within the United Nations, aimed at finding solutions
to global problems. The organization has over 1,600,000 members
from all over the world and is the world's largest student
association.
IFMSA, through long years of successful work, has become
a partner to many governmental and non-governmental organizations
(UN, WHO, UNAIDS, UNFPA, MSF, MDM). Every year, with the help
of YuMSIC, 150 best students of medicine has one-month professional
practice at some of the world's university centers. In addition
to international exchange, YuMSIC has been successful in fighting
AIDS (the projects of Peer Education on Reproductive Health,
the international network coordinators Youth Peer), drug abuse
(project harm Reduction), project Children Abuse - helped
by UNICEF and projects of providing help to refugees (Friendship
Clubs, Re-life ) and many others.

NAPSer
- NATIONAL ASSOCIATON OF PHARMACY STUDENTS - Serbia &
Montenegro

National Association of Pharmacy Students - Serbia &
Montenegro (NAPSer) has been a full member of two most important
student organizations, IPSF (International Pharmaceutical
Students' Association) and EPSA (European Pharmaceutical Students'
Association) since 2000.
Full IPSF and EPSA membership means full engagement and participation
in all the activities, campaigns and projects by these two
organizations, the right to vote in the annual congresses
and active participation in all EPSA and IPSF events.
The main objectives of this organization are raising awareness
of new trends and further education of pharmacists, as well
as of the events available to pharmacy students in order to
facilitate their professional and cultural development.
As a full IPSF-a and EPSA member NAPSer is focused on campaigns
and projects run by these organizations. IPSF's SEP is certainly
the most popular project, in addition to which, NAPSer participates
in EPSA Twin, anti-smoking, anti-AIDS campaigns, campaigns
against drug abuse, professional awareness campaigns, etc.
What is more, NAPSer runs its own projects, and participates
in the work of Student Parliament of the Faculty of Pharmacy
and monitors student standard and status.
EESTEC
LC Beograd - Electrical Engineering Students' European
Association

EESTEC, an organization of electrical engineering students
from Europe, was founded in 1986. The organization's primary
aim is to promote student exchange, economic contacts, professional
practice and international contacts, and other forms of professional
and personal development for young students.
EESTEC is a non-profit and non-political organization. It
is organized into 32 local committees (universities) which
are located in over 20 European countries. Belgrade has been
a full member since 2000 and is one of the largest and best
organized committees. In March 2004 EESTEC Belgrade held Congress,
on the occasion of which 80 students from all over Europe
visited Belgrade. The Congress offered numerous lectures and
company presentations. Belgrade students are active participants
in the seminars and so far over 200 students attended various
seminars in Europe thanks to EESTEC.

The main activities of a Local BEST Group are organizing
and promoting international public and internal events and
local activities. The latter are generally directed to students
of the local university. For instance, some LBGs organize
job fairs or company presentations in their universities.
Since almost all BEST activities are completely free of charge,
Local BEST Groups also need to do fundraising to finance these
projects.
BEST Beograd, a Local BEST group directed to the students
of technology at faculties University of Belgrade, is part
of an international students' network. BEST Belgrade was founded
in 2003 and, in a short time, has become one of the most representative
students' associations at the University in Belgrade. The
main activities of BEST Group are providing students with
the opportunity to attend two-week courses in European universities
and running similar courses in our country. In two years,
nearly 200 Belgrade students have attended various courses
all over Europe.
Some of BEST most important events are the summer course
Possibilities of Internet Network in Modern Communications
in July 2004, Regional BEST Meeting in March 2005 and the
spring course ITS - Intelligent Transport Systems in April
2005.
Since the very beginning BEST Belgrade has been strongly supported
by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Technology
and Metallurgy, and Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering.
Also, a large number of companies have supported various projects.
At present BEST Belgrade has 60 members.

AEGEE-
Beograd

It is the largest student association in Europe. It is represented
by 20.000 students, active in 43 countries all around Europe.
AEGEE Belgrade is one of the 250 locals in the AEGEE network
and is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.
AEGEE ‘s primary aim is to strive for creating an open Europe
free of prejudice, in accordance with which the organization
fosters student mobility and the European dimension in education,
encourages panels and dialogues, which strive to foster a
respect for national, cultural and ethnic diversities.
AEGEE organizes cultural exchanges, conferences, seminars
and training programmes in higher education, student mobility,
tolerance, arts, sports. Over 450 students of the University
of Belgrade participate in European AEGEE programmes, and
Belgrade welcomes as many as 350 students from Europe each
year.
An AEGEE membership is available to open-minded students.
AEGEE Belgrade holds meetings on Fridays, at 7 p.m., at the
office at 15/18 Kraljice Natalije (ex Narodnog fronta). For

IAAS
- Belgrade International Association of Agricultural Students
and Related Sciences
International Association of Agricultural Students and Related
Sciences (IAAS) was founded in 1957 in Tunisia on the initiative
of 8 countries. It has been active in Belgrade since 1996.
Today IAAS’s members are students of agriculture and related
sciences (technology, biology, chemistry…) from 40 countries
and it represents the leading students' organization in the
domain. With various activities the association tries to meeker
its motto: to promote understanding among cultures and nations
through the exchange of experiences, knowledge and ideas.
Through international variety of view points and thinking
it makes it possible for open discussions of students about
the contemporary topics connected to agriculture and view
on the problems and challenges that wait them in the future
professions. IAAS is made of numerous national and local committees,
which enables the improvement of the association by organizing
different projects and events. Every year IAAS makes new contacts
in different countries and in that way increases the number
of its members.
IAAS main activity is the student exchange programme. Every
year over 20 students is involved in the programme and has
a 2/3-month professional practice all over the world. In addition,
IAAS develops active links with other organizations, such
as FAO and UNESCO. The most important annual gatherings are
the World Congress, held in the summer, and European Congress,
held round New Year. European Congress in 2001 was held in
our country.
Every year LC Belgrade organizes a Summer school on renewable
energy resources and other topics, and endeavours to attend
all European and world's gatherings and seminars.
