trough The University of Belgrade 2005" highly useful,
whether you are interested in the history of the University
and its faculties, student programmes, University regulations,
educational reform, accommodation and food, scholarships for
the best students, available student services, student organizations
activities, or the city of Belgrade itself with its history,
facilities and people who make it different from other metropolises
turning it into an ideal home for students.
Since your generation celebrates the hundredth anniversary
of the enrolment at the University of Belgrade, you are expected
to continue the tradition of Belgrade academic spirit, and
use your personal qualities and potentials in the best way
possible.
The Guide will show you how the family of 72,000 students
lives, which acquires knowledge at 31 faculties, lives in
11 student hostels, and eats in 14 restaurants. It is a family
which likes travelling not just as a tourist, but also to
improve the existing and acquire new knowledge at a number
of seminars and congresses. Furthermore, while some of us
rest, others are determined to use employment opportunities
with Student job agency. Many students are involved in the
work of student organizations and media, while some of them
are also engaged in cultural-artistic clubs.
Nevertheless, whatever they do and wherever they go, all students
love and always come back to Belgrade, to its squares, streets
and boulevards, theatres, cinemas and museums, rivers and
parks, rafts and clubs, stadiums and sports centers.
